Autumn Baked Pears

Pear season is now and this easy fall dessert is a must make with juicy, ripe pears.

It's so easy to do with Bartlett or Bosc pears. Just peel the fruit & slice in half.

You can make your own pie pastry or use a store-bought crust. (We like Pillsbury).

Brush the pear halves with lemon juice and liberally sprinkle w/cinnamon sugar.

Wrap the pear halves in the pastry to cover them.

Brush the pastry with an egg wash for shiny crust.

Bake the pears until the crust is golden and the fruit is tender.

It's like pie without the work.

This is my grandmother's recipe and it's a family fave!
