How To Make Homemade Pumpkin Purée

It's easy to make your own pumpkin puree from scratch and all you need is one ingredient: A sugar pumpkin.

Just cut the pumpkin in half and scoop out the innards (you might have to use your hands for this.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roast the pumpkin (cut side down) until it's tender.

You can tell when it's done when you can poke it and the flesh gives easily.

Just slip off the pumpkin skin (this one literally shrugged out of its skin when I pulled the stem.)

Puree the flesh in your food processor until smooth. That's it! Easy peasy.

Come on, which one would you rather eat?

It's lighter in color and flavor than the canned stuff, w/no tinny aftertaste! Way better.
