How To Make Amazing  Hickory Smoked Ribs

To make smoked pork spareribs, start by removing the silver skin. This makes the ribs tender, not chewy.

Mix up the easy rib spice rub. This one has brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder & crushed red pepper.

Coat the pork spareribs with rib rub.

I recommend hickory wood chips for smoking the ribs. Soak the chips in water for at least an hour before starting to cook.

Light the charcoal to start smoking the ribs.

Once the coals are hot and ashy, begin to cook the ribs.

Add water and beer to the water bath. This gives moisture and maintains a low heat for the ribs to smoke.

Set the ribs onto a rack to smoke. Keep the heat around 225 degrees.

It will take 4-5 hours to cook the ribs.

The ribs take on a dark bark as they slowly smoke.

Brush the hickory smoked spareribs with your favorite barbecue sauce.

Everyone loves good hickory smoked pork ribs. They're perfect for summer.

These are tender & juicy w/ a perfect pink smoke ring.
