Pear Upside Down Cake with Cranberries

Pear upside down cake is a beautiful and delicious fall and winter dessert, loaded w/ caramelized pears and studded with cranberries.

You can use Bartlett or D'Anjou pears for this upside down cake recipe. Peel the fruit & remove the seeds w/a melon baller.

Thinly slice the pears & arrange them in a 9-inch cake pan lined w/parchment paper.

Bring sugar to a boil, stirring occasionally until it melts and caramelizes.
